Volunteer opportunity description

About the opportunity

We need a friendly, reliable and patient individual to help us in our mission to educate the next generation of computer users by teaching our Children's Club sessions 2 Saturdays per month 10.00-12.00 and 13.00-15.00.

A great opportunity to learn more about computers and programming and gain or increase your teaching experience


To lead our Children's Club sessions on a rota basis with other volunteers

Prepare classroom before sessions and help children with activities and queries during sessions

Assist in preparation and planning of lessons and workshops and to assist us to liaise with schools

Please note that all our positions are unpaid and we are unable to pay expenses.




What are we looking for?

Good computer skills and some knowledge of programming

No teaching experience needed - full training given
A good sense of humour, patience and reliability

Clean and tidy appearance and good communication skills

Volunteers will require a CRB check which the Museum will organise and pay for
